Heleen Bartelings is a quantitative economist working at Wageningen Economic Research since 2006. She holds a Ph.D. in environmental economics. She has been working with the fisheries models in several European projects like CAFE, COEXIST, Benthis and CERES and has expert knowledge about optimization and econometric models. She also has been working for over ten years with CGE models. She is one of the main modellers for MAGNET, the CGE model developed by Wageningen Economic Research. The last couple of years she has extended MAGNET with first and second generation biofuels, bio chemicals, fertilizers, fisheries and aquaculture, and renewable energy.
